What devices can I use?
Any iPhone, iPad, or Android phone/tablet. One device acts as the baby station (placed near your child) and the other as the parent station (stays with you).
Is my baby's video stored or recorded?
No. Video and audio stream directly between your devices in real time. Nothing is recorded, stored, or sent to the cloud. Your privacy is our top priority.
How does cry detection work?
The app analyzes sound patterns directly on the baby device using on-device processing. It detects crying and unusual noise levels, then sends you an instant push notification. No audio data ever leaves the device.
Does it work over Wi-Fi and mobile data?
Yes. When both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, the stream stays local for the lowest latency. It also works over mobile data when you're away from home.
Can multiple parents watch at the same time?
With Premium, unlimited parent devices can connect to the same baby station simultaneously. Perfect for both parents or grandparents watching together.
What happens if I lose connection?
You'll receive an immediate push notification if the connection drops. The app automatically reconnects as soon as the network is available again.
Can I self-host the backend?
Yes! The entire backend is open source and can be self-hosted with Docker. When self-hosted, billing is disabled and all features are available for free.
